Eugenia Halsey has been in the studio and on the air for more than twenty-five years.
She began her career as a broadcast journalist in Virginia, covering state politics and other issues for WRVA Radio in Richmond and WDBJ-TV in Roanoke. She then spent thirteen years with CNN, first as the network’s Chicago correspondent and later as a healthcare reporter in Washington, D.C.
At CNN, Eugenia won multiple health journalism awards, including recognition from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Medical Association, the American Dietetic Association, and the Institute of Food Technologists.
In her role as a voice-over professional, Eugenia has used her healthcare experience to narrate web videos for the National Cancer Institute, the American Medical Association, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Novartis. She has also recorded medical news programs for PBS and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
Along with medical narration, Eugenia has extensive experience recording e-Learning, including teacher training videos for global textbook publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and online instructional materials for government agencies.
In addition, Eugenia has recorded a variety of radio and TV commercials, including ads for Trusted Choice® that won an international film and TV competition, the Aurora Awards.
Eugenia has trained with voice coaches John Burr, Harlan Hogan, Elaine Clark, and J. Michael Collins. She has a degree in English from the University of Virginia.
